Second Week of School Already a Great Memory

I started to further my education this year formally for the first time, I walked into college with my daughter by my side August 22, 2011. For the first time in 25 years, I have homework, lots of homework, I had taken some classes online with O'reilly, but had not been in a classroom in 25 years ( since I was 16). We got up early and ate our oatmeal and then got ready and hopped our bikes to ride the 6 miles to the school up and down the hills of windy( winLinkdy hill road) and the Hills of South Cobb as well. We made it to class with time to spare so that we change from our sweaty bicycling gear into college student gear complete with backpack full of books. Psychology, and Math are our first two subjects, and as fate would have it I had my numbers wrote down wrong for the classrooms, so when tying to mind Mr. Mojo's class I got lost and was about 30 minutes late; better late than never I still got there. When math class was over Eden and I hurry back to the bathroom to change into bicycle gear and pedal the 6 miles back home but this time we carry on down South Cobb and go Atlanta Road to Windy Hill instead of just going back the way we came, this is a complete 12 mile bike ride for our cardio for the day as we have mapped it on the sparkpeople website before. We make it home just in time for a refreshing shower, a quick bite of cheese and cracker, or some fruit, maybe an apple, grab the English books and head back to school for a 1:30 English 101 with Mr. Inscoe.
So As the title says, this is my second week of school.. A full 4 class- load w( Comp1000 is on Friday.s. 4-hour class). It has been great so far, I am already learning alot, every instructor seems to be understanding, fair and educated. I look forward to seeing what the outcome of the 15 weeks will be. I will be blogging about my progress for my family and friends to see, as this will also help me in my writing skills along the way.

60 Days and counting

Well the time is getting closer, I just cannot believe I am going to get a chance at college in my life. I am super-de duper anxious and even tho we have tried our best to try and get everything done early, I am sure there will be some tedious last- minute details as that is what life is all about. The next few weeks we will be so busy and excited with preparations I am sure that the time will just pass quickly. ME and Eden are going to try to train to run across the state sometime early next year before it gets to hot. It should be an interesting journey the state is 230 miles wide from Alabama, to The coast of Ga, and we are thinking we could do the run and try to promote awareness for childhood obesity and other causes along the way. We have many great ideas we are going to try and keep our progress posted as that way we are held more accountable.Mindomo, where users can create, view and share mind maps in their browser is a really great asset to the blogging community.
If you want to map your ideas out before you put them down, I found something really interesting today,
